TSP announces promotion of Georgia Bolton to Senior Associate

Thompson Smith and Puxon has promoted Georgia Bolton to Senior Associate in its Wills and Estates team.

Georgia joined TSP in 2020 and advises clients on a wide range of private client matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate and estate administration. She has also developed a strong specialism in Court of Protection and mental capacity work.

Her work includes supporting clients and families with sensitive decisions around property and financial affairs. She has taken on professional deputy work and has also been appointed as a professional trustee, reflecting the trust placed in her by clients and colleagues.

Georgia also plays an active role in the wider community. She is Chair of the Colchester Dementia Friendly Community and supports regular dementia café events, helping to make legal advice more accessible for people and families affected by dementia.

In 2025, Georgia was named Rising Star - Under 35 at the LawNet National Awards. The award recognised her client care, technical development, community work and growing contribution to the legal sector.

Robert Ashworth, Head of Wills and Estates at TSP, said: “Georgia’s promotion is very well deserved. She combines strong technical ability with sound judgement and real care for her clients. Her Court of Protection work has become an important part of our practice, and she has made a valuable contribution to the team and the wider community.”

Georgia said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to Senior Associate. I enjoy helping clients and families through important and often difficult decisions, and I am grateful for the support I have had from colleagues across the firm. I look forward to continuing to develop my work with the Wills and Estates team.”

Georgia’s promotion reflects the strength of TSP’s Wills and Estates team and the firm’s focus on developing specialist advice for clients who need clear, practical support.
