Hasina, who was admitted as a solicitor in September 2006, joined the TSP Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury team in September 2021. Hasina is the Director of  Hasina Choudhury Ltd, a corporate partner in Thompson Smith and Puxon. Based in the Colchester office, Hasina advises clients on all aspects of their Clinical Negligence claims. She has worked on a number of high value cases involving spinal injury, brain injury and wrongful birth. She also has a particular interest in cases concerning obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedic, cardiology and fatal accident involving complex cases for financial dependency. Hasina also works with Steve Webb representing claimants with personal injury claims.

Hasina, who has been a Clinical Negligence Solicitor for 15 years, completed her degree in Law and Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University before going on to complete her LPC at the College of Law in 2003. She is a member of AvMA’s Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel and of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel.

Hasina says “I am delighted to be joining the TSP Clinical Negligence Team.  I understand that taking legal action can be daunting and I endeavour to provide a personal service tailored to my clients and their needs. The consequences of a medical accident can be far reaching for the patient and their family, and I feel that my role is to offer support to try to make the legal process as stress free as possible.”

Hasina is fluent in Bengali, Hindi and Urdu. Outside of work, she enjoys art, chess and travelling.

In 2022/23 the Thompson Smith and Puxon Clinical Negligence team was once again recommended by the Legal 500. The Legal 500 said: Thompson Smith and Puxon‘s personal injury and clinical negligence team is led from Colchester by Steve Webb, an APIL senior litigator and a Law Society-accredited PI specialist who is praised for his ‘dedication to his client’s best interests combined with practical good sense’. He is supported by chartered legal executive Stacey Anderson, who has ‘the right mix of empathy, tactical guile and meticulousness in thought and preparation‘. Solicitor Sam Welham is also recommended; the team was also strengthened by the arrival of clinical negligence senior associate Hasina Choudhury in late 2021.
