Thompson Smith and Puxon announces new Legal Director appointments
Thompson Smith and Puxon is pleased to announce the appointment of four Legal Directors as part of the firm’s new progression and governance structure.
Fiona Gibson, Richard Broadhead, Marie Allen and Ann Coutts have all been appointed to the new role, which recognises senior responsibility, technical expertise, client service and leadership contribution within the firm.
The appointments form part of TSP’s wider TSP 2030 work and reflect the firm’s continued investment in its people, its clients and its long-term future as an independent regional law firm.
The newly appointed Legal Directors are:
- Fiona Gibson, Commercial Property
- Richard Broadhead, Residential Property
- Marie Allen, Employment
- Ann Coutts, Wills and Estates
The Legal Director role has been introduced to support a clearer progression structure within the firm. It sits alongside TSP’s wider work to recognise contribution properly, develop leadership capacity and provide clearer career pathways for qualified lawyers and senior colleagues carrying significant responsibility.
Sean Stuttaford, Chief Executive Officer at TSP, said:
“These appointments recognise the strength and capability we have within the firm. Fiona, Richard, Marie and Ann each make an important contribution to TSP, their teams and their clients. It is particularly rewarding to see colleagues progress into senior roles and continue to develop their careers with the firm.
The creation of the Legal Director role is part of our wider focus on making sure TSP remains competitive, independent and well placed to support our clients now and into the future.”
Mary Anne Fedeyko, Senior Partner at TSP, added:
“Fiona, Richard, Marie and Ann have each shown a strong commitment to their clients, their colleagues and the firm. These appointments are well deserved and reflect the important role they already play within TSP.
As Senior Partner, I am very pleased to see the firm recognising senior contribution in this way and continuing to develop clear career paths for the future.”
The appointments mark a further step in TSP’s continued development and its commitment to building a supportive, clear and sustainable structure for the future.
