“Exceptional Client Service” at the Heart of Another Strong Legal 500 Performance from TSP

The Legal 500 has once again highlighted the expertise and commitment of Essex based law firm Thompson Smith and Puxon (TSP). The firm has seven Legal 500 recommended lawyers amongst its ranks, has retained Legal 500 recommendations in seven practice areas and added Dispute Resolution as a further area of recommended practice.

Dispute Resolution team leader Sharon Auton and new addition Judith Winward are both 2015 recommended lawyers, with the firm’s service in this practice area rated as “second to none”.

Recommended lawyer Mary Anne Fedeyko, leads TSP’s “responsive, flexible and proactive” Corporate and Commercial team with “brio”, “nothing seems to daunt her and she is always a pleasure to work with”.

The team, which includes recommended lawyer Nick Mayles, along with Claire Powell , Caroline Nicholls and Adina Milleare, is active across a wide range of corporate and commercial work, and clients range from start-ups and SMEs to large PLC companies.

On the Commercial Property front, Stephen Firmin, a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, takes care of clients’ commercial and agricultural land and property transactions and works closely with Mary Anne and her team as part of the complete service TSP provides for its business clients.

The TSP Employment team is recommended for its “exceptional client service”. The team, which includes Sam Welham and Adina Milleare, is led by recommended lawyer Richard Porter who is “extremely knowledgeable and very approachable”. Richard is particularly experienced in disability discrimination matters.

In 2014 Fiona Ashworth joined TSP to lead the Wills and Estates team. According to the Legal 500, recommended lawyer Fiona’s qualities are “distilled through the lens of a sharp mind”, and she provides “clear, thoughtful advice”. Fiona is a qualified member of both Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

All of the solicitors in the highly regarded Family team are members of Resolution; Shelley Cumbers, who joined in 2014, and Alison Cantor are both Resolution trained Collaborative lawyers, and Marcus Price, who leads the team, and Alison are Resolution Accredited Family Law specialists.

In 2015 the Legal 500 reports that clients remain “overwhelmed by the fantastic service” they receive from TSP’s Clinical Negligence team. The Personal Injury team is also recommended. Clinical Negligence recommended lawyer Julian Wilson says “When ranking law firms that undertake Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury work the Legal 500 assess firms across the whole of the South East area of the UK, so, to be recognised as one of the leading firms in this area for both Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury work is extremely pleasing.”
