Medical Negligence Support Paralegal – Colchester

This role requires strong legal and administrative skills to support complex casework, manage client communications, and ensure the smooth progression of claims. This role involves supporting a Senior Solicitor who is an expert in medical negligence, providing hands-on experience with complex and rewarding cases.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support to a Senior Solicitor who is an expert in medical negligence, ensuring cases are managed effectively.
- Assist with case preparation, legal research, and gathering evidence to support claims.
- Review and summarise medical records and reports to identify key issues.
- Prepare legal documents, witness statements, and correspondence with clients, experts, and opposing parties.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and ensuring sensitive matters are handled with professionalism and empathy.
- Coordinate with medical experts, barristers, and other legal professionals to gather opinions and support case development.
- Maintain case files, update the case management system, and ensure compliance with court deadlines and pre-action protocols.
- Assist in preparing trial bundles, briefing notes, and schedules for hearings.
