As the person responsible for training in your organisation you will be well aware that continuous development, for yourself, your managers and your staff, is essential. This is particularly important in the fast paced and ever-changing area of Employment Law to ensure that you run a happy workplace and to have defences against many of the risks you can face as an employer. The TSP Academy is therefore pleased to be able to offer two very different training packages for both you and your business.

The first TSP HR Academy, which will commence in June, will focus on Employment Law and its practical application in the work place. In six tutorial sessions over a term of three to four months you will explore the discrete and important parts of the relationship between businesses and their staff. In a group of no more than six delegates you will receive training on some of the most important aspects of working with staff.

For more information on the benefits of joining the first TSP HR Academy session and to view the course outline please click here.

The TSP Academy is also able to offer a suite of half-day or full-day in-house training sessions for you, your directors and/or managers. These courses will help to keep your managers up to date with current Employment Law and its practical application in the workplace. The sessions will take place at your business premises or a location to suit your business needs. The training is for groups of all sizes, up to 30.

All of the courses are interactive and collaborative and delegates will receive a comprehensive set of speaker notes and suggestions for further reading. To find out more about the courses available and indicative costs please click here.

Discounts are available for repeat / multiple purchases.

In addition to the numerous advantages that TSP Training will bring, you will have access to a unique TSP benefit.

The Helpline service aspect of the TSP Retainer [Supporting Your HR Function] Service will be available to your organisation for a period of time depending on the TSP Academy Training you have opted for. The service is designed to support and help you manage day-to-day employment issues.

TSP HR Academy: As a delegate, you will be given access to the Helpline service for the duration of your Academy term-time. The Academy delegate will be the point of contact for your organisation during this time.

TSP In-House Training: For those who have purchased an in-house training course, nominated key individuals from your organisation will be given access to the Helpline service for one month following delivery of the in-house training course.

TSP will not charge your organisation for access to the Helpline service during this time, a service which usually costs between £300 and £999 (+VAT) per month, depending on the size and risk profile of the business. Terms and Conditions apply. See below.

Jolyon Berry

TSP Director Jolyon Berry is an Employment lawyer and trained trainer in our Employment Law Team. He advises clients on all aspects of the workplace, particularly where the management of staff meets employment law. By approaching HR matters confidently, mindful of the legal situation, employers will be able to manage change with fewer challenges and less risk.

All of the tutorial sessions are prepared in-house by Jolyon and his colleagues from the Employment Law team.

Testimonial: “I have known Jolyon for many years and have often had the pleasure of hearing him speak, both presenting and training. He is always very clear, informative and interesting in whatever subject he is explaining to his audience, and as an added bonus invariably makes it highly entertaining. It is without doubt time well spent when listening to Jolyon.” Christopher Crace, Business Life Ltd

‘Chatham House Rules’: Most training sessions, whether you are attending in-house or as part of the TSP Academy, will inevitably lead to lively discussions amongst delegates. ‘Chatham House Rules’ will be strictly applied. This will ensure all sessions provoke debate amongst the delegates who are able to participate in a safe and  non-judgemental environment, knowing that their comments and opinions will be kept confidential by all of those attending.
