Nicola, who qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx) in July 2016, is supervised by Fiona Ashworth. She joined the TSP Wills and Estates team in June 2014.  Based in our Colchester office, she has significant experience in this area of the law, and advises clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney (Enduring and Lasting), Court of Protection work and Inheritance tax as well as dealing with the administration of estates.

Nicola who was born in Sudbury, Suffolk, attended school there. Following her A-Levels, she joined a local law firm as an Office Junior and has since progressed her legal career by studying towards qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive, achieving her goal in July 2016. To become a Chartered Legal Executive Nicola has successfully completed the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives’ (CILEx) Level 6 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice studying various areas of the law including Wills and Succession, Probate Practice, Equity and Trusts and Family Law and, following a year of qualifying employment after completing her exams, qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx). She now intends to further her studies and become a member of STEP, the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners.

In her spare time, of which there is not too much once studying and caring for her two boys is taken into account, she enjoys reading, eating out and going to the cinema.

Nicola says “I enjoy working closely with individuals, couples and families to provide advice and support when it comes to ensuring that their affairs are in order for the future.”
