Fiona, who qualified as a Solicitor in November 1985, joined the TSP Wills & Estates team in September 2022. Based in the Colchester office Fiona works closely with her clients to advise on and to plan their legal lives in relation to Wills and Estate matters. She is supervised by Fiona Ashworth.
Fiona completed her BA(Hons) in Business Law at City University London and then following passing the Law Society finals at Guildford Law College worked in London firms for a number of years advising primarily on Property matters, both commercial and residential, and for investor clients. Following a sabbatical spent in the ski resort of Verbier, running a chalet with her husband, Fiona relocated to East Anglia over 25 years ago and has worked in various locations including Woodbridge, Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds, where she now lives.
Fiona can provide advice across the range of services of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Registration of Enduring powers of attorney, Deputyship matters, Probate applications and estate administration and trusts. Fiona has the accreditation of being a TEP (Trust Estate Practioner) having passed the STEP ( Society of Trust and Estate Practioners) exams 10 years ago gaining a distinction in Advising the Vulnerable Client certificate. She also finds that drawing on her previous property knowledge a great advantage in dealing with more complex matters.
Fiona likens dealing with legal issues to completing a jigsaw saying “I enjoy talking to clients about the issues and conundrums which concern them and then finding the solution that completes the puzzle so that they have a solution which suits their individual needs and wishes.”
Fiona is a keen skier and walker and loves spending time outdoors, gardening, reading crime novels and recently has taken up a new hobby of traditional upholstery and renovating old furniture.
