After 24 years’ service at Thompson Smith and Puxon (TSP), Residential and Commercial Property specialist Tony Coppock has retired from the practice.

Tony, who qualified as a Fellow of what is now the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1980, joined Thompson Smith and Puxon in 1991. Tony initially worked in London in the Wills and Estates departments of a number of different firms, but since joining TSP has worked in Property and now specialises in Commercial Conveyancing. He completed his LLM (Masters of Law) in Advanced Legal Practice (Commercial Property) in 2012 with distinction at Staffordshire University.

In his retirement Tony aims to indulge his interest in history and to keep active. Tony says “My main objective in my retirement is to make sure that I do not find myself on the sofa at 11 am watching Homes under the Hammer or Bargain Hunt!

I have always had a keen interest in sport and I look forward to attending more football games supporting my team, West Ham. I would also like to think that I can extend my interest in history by attending appropriate seminars and events.”

The Directors of TSP hosted a retirement party for Tony at the firm’s Colchester office and presented Tony with a mini iPad to mark the occasion. Tony says “Throughout my time with TSP I have worked with and for some very good people. It is those people who I shall miss and who I would like to thank for all the support they have given me over the years.”

TSP Director and Head of Commercial Property and Agriculture, Stephen Firmin, added “ Tony has been an integral part of TSP for many years. In the relatively short time that I have known Tony he has been a pleasure to work with and has made an enormous contribution to the firm. On behalf of my fellow directors at TSP and all of the staff I would like to wish Tony a long, happy and healthy retirement.”
