Jolyon Berry, Employment Law solicitor and trainer, who has 20 years’ experience advising employers and extensive experience dealing with a multitude of issues that can occur in the workplace, will be running an online seminar looking at Redundancy and the Law.
Covid-19 has seen furloughing of staff grow exponentially and with changes to the furlough scheme expected at any time soon, and in the knowledge that employers will have to start contributing to the cost of maintaining furlough, many employers are coming to the unfortunate decision that they need to reduce their headcount for the time being.
Redundancy is a potentially fair means of dismissal but those with more than two years’ service can challenge a dismissal for being unfair. If more than 20 employees are at risk of redundancy, there are other risks as well.
There is never a good time to be sued in the Employment Tribunal for unfair dismissal but now, more than ever, it is essential that redundancy procedures progress as smoothly as possible.
Jolyon will be hosting an online seminar on the redundancy process. He will highlight the pitfalls and bear traps and identify those areas that are harder to manage. Delegates to the seminar will be given comprehensive notes that include template letters that may be used as a starting point by your organisation throughout the redundancy process.*
The cost of the seminar is £125+VAT for a single delegate or just £200+VAT for more than one delegate from the same organisation. Should you instruct TSP’s Employment Team for any employment related matter within a month of the seminar, the cost of the seminar will be deducted from any fees arising from that matter.
