TEDDY BEARS TO PARACHUTE FUNDS FOR CHURCH RESTORATION

The annual ‘Teddy Bear Parachute Jump’ takes place this Saturday 14 June from the tower of St Michael’s Church in Brantham to raise vital funds for the church restoration and upkeep. Essex solicitors Thompson Smith & Puxon have stepped in with a donation to the church restoration fund and also by donating the £50 prize for the jump.

Solicitors Thompson Smith & Puxon helped nurture the talent of top trainee barristers when they sponsored the finals of a ‘Mooting’ contest held in Court 4 (The Lord Chief Justice’s Court) at The Royal Courts of Justice in London. All the students taking part in the competition were from the BPPLawSchool in London, widely known for supplying promising candidates to the legal profession.

LOCAL FIRM SPONSORS YOUNG THEATRE GROUP

The premier of a new musical written and produced by a young Clacton theatre group has won the backing of local solicitors Thompson Smith & Puxon. Their financial support helps get "Quite Average Jane", written by Scott Morgan and directed by Lucy Mellow, onto the stage at Clacton's West Cliff Theatre on 28-29 March. Clacton Round Table has also given its support.
