Solicitor Caroline Nicholls joined TSP’s Corporate and Commercial team in May 2015. Based in our Colchester office, she advises business clients on all aspects of Company and Commercial law.

She has experience in advising clients on acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, private equity investments, equity capital market flotations and fundraisings, and general company law.  She advises companies in all industry sectors and has recently advised on a substantial acquisition for an international company in the hotel sector. She has also advised energy companies, particularly those involved with solar energy; metals and mining, care homes and sport sectors are also key areas of work for Caroline.

Having attended school in Bishops Stortford, Caroline studied for her law degree at the University of East Anglia before taking her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. She then joined a multinational law firm headquartered in London as a trainee and has worked in their Corporate Law team since her qualification in September 2006.  Caroline is a fluent French speaker (bi-lingual) and in her spare time she enjoys playing netball and plays tennis and skis whenever time allows!

Caroline says “Advising on Company and Commercial law is a diverse practice area where one day you can be setting up a new company and the next negotiating multi-national restructurings, fundraisings or acquisitions. Each matter has its challenges and rewards and the job is certainly never dull!”
