A new solicitor has joined the expanding team at Thompson Smith & Puxon, adding more than two decades of expertise to the leading Essex law firm’s Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department.
Stephen Skinner, 48, comes to Thompson Smith & Puxon from Prettys solicitors in Ipswich where he was a partner for 16 years.
In his new role, Stephen hopes to build on Thompson Smith & Puxon’s strong reputation for Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence work. The firm is the only solicitors in North Essex accredited by the Legal Services Commission to provide publicly funded help to victims of medical accidents.
Stephen Skinner said: “I hope to further strengthen Thompson Smith & Puxon’s excellent reputation in the area of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. The work is extremely rewarding and I look forward to helping grow the business across the region.”
Stephen is a member of the Law Society Panel for Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, which officially recognises his expertise in the field. He is also a Peer Reviewer for the Legal Services Commission, with responsibility for helping assess the quality of work of other law firms across the country.
Julian Wilson, senior solicitor at Thompson Smith & Puxon who heads the firm’s Clinical Negligence team, said: “Stephen’s knowledge and expertise is first rate and he will be a valuable member of Thompson Smith & Puxon’s growing team.”
