Staff at leading Essex based solicitors Thompson Smith & Puxon, were ‘in the pink’ when they swapped business suits for something more colourful to help raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The teams at Thompson Smith & Puxon’s Colchester and Clacton offices each paid a pound for every item of pink clothing they wore on Friday 19th May. The proceeds contributed towards the sponsorship of staff at the firm who are taking part in the Colchester Race for Life event at Essex University on 16th July.
Outfits on the day included pink ties, shirts, socks and tops with more than £140 collected for the Race for Life, a 3km event for women only which takes place in various locations across the country each year to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Celia Hobson, office manager at Thompson Smith & Puxon in Colchester, said: “It was a really fun day and the money raised will make a great start towards the firm’s Race for Life sponsorship. At TS&P we regularly get involved with charity events both locally and nationally and we are very pleased to support such a worthwhile cause.”
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to funding investigation into the cause, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and supporting patients and their families.
