25 February 2005
England’s new UK hurdles record holder, Sarah Claxton from Colchester, has received welcome ongoing financial support from local firm of solicitors Thompson, Smith & Puxon. Sponsorship of Sarah by Thompson Smith & Puxon began in July last year prior to the Olympics.
Everyone at Thompson Smith & Puxon is delighted by Sarah’s success in the AAA championships this year and Sarah called by on 25 February to receive champagne and flowers as congratulations from the staff. Sarah was on a rare day off from training in preparation for the European Indoor Championships in Madrid next week-end (5-6 March).
The ongoing sponsorship from Thompson Smith & Puxon pays for Sarah’s travel and accommodation expenses.
Sarah trains mostly at Crystal Palace although she is still connected to Colchester & Tendring AC, where she trained initially as a long jumper before switching to 100m hurdles.
Thompson Smith & Puxon provide commercial and private client legal services from offices in Colchester and Clacton.
