120 solicitors from firms in Suffolk and north Essex gathered for the annual Suffolk and North Essex Law Society (SNELS) dinner last week (Friday 18 November), held at ColchesterTown Hall. The event was hosted by SNELS President for 2005-2006, Mark Cooksley, a Partner at Essex firm Thompson Smith & Puxon.
Speakers were the honourable Sir Nicholas PumphreyQC, William CleggQC, Anthony ScrivenerQC and Mark Cooksley. Seven circuit judges were amongst the guests.
“The dinner was enormous fun. We were honoured to have such legal luminaries as our guests and I have had very positive feedback about the evening”, said Mark Cooksley, Thompson Smith & Puxon.
The Suffolk & North Essex Law Society represents the interests of over 350 solicitors from 74 different firms practising in the area.
